Many times, people tells me this eatery sell cheap 'meat' crabs. To check it out, we drove to Tak Fok for an early dinner.
When the waitress arrive, I asked how much is the crab per kg and to my delight, I was told RM30 per kg for 2 crabs. From the simple menu (just few flips), we settled for Sweet and Sour crabs + Man Tou, Curry Prawns in Coconut, Nam Yue Roast chicken, Stir Fried Wantan Noodles with Seafood and 2 cool herbal drink.
Curry Prawns in Coconut (RM26) Overpowered with curry powder and thick coconut milk instantly killed my tastebuds. 5 medium size prawns with lots of greens. |
Sweet & Sour Crab (RM30) Even though the gravy is tantalizing but wasn't meaty and fresh |
Fried Man Tou (RM6) Hot and fluffy...we cleaned it up with the sweet and sour crab gravy |
Nam Yue Roast Chicken (RM22) Fragrant with tender meat but too salty |
Stir Fried Wantan Noodles with Seafood (RM12) Chewy and aromatic....yummy! This is not the best or cheap seafood restaurant in town. My pick still goes to Hai Peng (click for more info). ReplyDeleteI don't like the way the chef prepare this dish ... though it was served in a big coconut shell.
ReplyDeleteNice reading your blog too!
I have added you in my link...foodie connects ma!
Despite your poor review, the food looks good and is reasonably priced. Wouldn't be too bad, I'm sure...just that another place is better.
ReplyDeleteDon't you agree different people have different tastebuds? I personally will not step into this eatery again.
