BUFFET SHABU-SHABU IN NAGOMI

I love eating steam boat especially with wide arrays of fresh seafood. Having read about the super deal promotion in Nagomi Shabu Shabu, Menara Hap Seng with price tag @ RM32.80++ (adult) and RM18.80++ (child), I decided to check it out over a lunch date. I anticipated a big crowd as I had made reservation a week ahead but was glad only half of the restaurant was filled up by diners. Meaning, we can enjoy our food slowly without rushing to queue up for refill.

luv the 50 cents size scallop, juicy baby lobster, salmon fish head, fresh oyster

various types of greens...spoilt with choices

imported Australian fresh oysters.....my fave

imported slices of reddish lamb ....tender & sweet

fried baby losters and fish...so addictive

dessert... like the jelly with coconut milk

our pick for the day...can't wait to eat

each of us were allocated with a small pot of soup to cook the fresh seafood

steam boat is incomplete with these...
sauces for your soup base and dippings

imported live baby lobster in aquarium..
the chef highly recommended me to try this and he claimed it's sweet

end result after 5 minutes in the hot boiling soup...ready to wallop!
I do agree with the chef statement.

In an hour, we ended our lunch with black sesame & vanilla flavour ice cream.

For info, this buffet exclude drinks. I ordered a small bottle of mineral water + a glass of ice cubes for RM5 without knowing they serve refillable green tea/ocha at RM3!

It was a nice Saturday morning and what's the best way to kick start the day by having a warm American breakfast with a close friend. With the current promotion on buy 1 free 1 at its outlet in Menara Hap Seng, Kuala Lumpur, we  decided to give it a try since it is value for money.

After looking at the menu and also comparing the prices,  I wanted to order either Smoked Salmon Frittata/Smoked Salmon Tartine/Salmon Cake Hash & Poached Eggs but was told by the waiter it is out of stock. How could it be when this outlet just open for business  at 11 am.?  Feeling a little upset and cheated, we checked further and was informed that salmon are not available on weekend brunch. So don't be fooled by the advertisement!

Since our tummies were making noise, we decided to put that 'ordeal' aside and opted for two different sets of breakfast  which is not  really value for money but yet tantalizing!

....super tasty and delish with chunks of potatoes and fresh clams in thick concoction

Steak Over Egg Benedict
Toast was too dried but the slices of BBQ beef meat was succulent and tender



T.G.I.Friday's Egg Benedict
Healthy way of eating egg without using any oil/fat....2 lovely poached eggs
I let the runny yolk absorbed the toast with melted cheese & turkey ham before indulging and it was awesome.

Total bill came to almost RM50 with a slight disappointment on the menu((~:~))

It was my boss belated birthday and also farewell lunch for him. So, we selected his ever favourite chinese restaurant i.e. Elegant Inn in Menara Hap Seng, Kuala Lumpur.

Our reservation for two tables was made a day in advance. As soon as all of us seated down, food were promptly served in a smooth flowing manner.

Impressive Appetizers:
combo of smoked duck meat (top)..moist & tender
fried squid with salt & pepper (centre)...crispy yet chewy
and crabmeat & salmon in a sweet & sourish sauce (spoons) ...simply refreshing & juicy

Fried Garoupa in Double Boiled Herbal Soup
served in a big claypot, the piping soup was infused with lots of chinese herbs (ginseng, dates & wolfberries) with fine texture of fish meat

8 Treasures Stuffed Chicken Wings
surprisingly the stuffing was good (combination of stir fried minced pork, mushrooms + diced chestnuts+ prawns with turmeric) and complement well with the juicy fried chicken wing


Stir Fried Black Pepper Beef
each cube of meat melts in the mouth...and I am addicted



Boiled Green Cauliflower with Crab Meat Sauce
undeniable...crunchy & delicate greens in a pool of aromatic & fragrant crab meat sauce...best indulge with a dash of black vinegar!




Trio Desserts
Pancake with lotus paste.... skin was fluffy enough
Fried Nian Gao..
Sesame Ball with peanut stuffing...outlet layer made of glutinous rice flour was light & crispy


Total bill including (fried rice with crabmeat + 2 refillable hot pot of tea) came to almost RM2K.
