BONITO COLD SALAD

This is a simple and nutritious salad to whip up your appetite especially during hot summer day.

Cut boiled potatoes, zucchinis and carrots into cubes

*zucchinis/cucumber are rich in mineral and helps control in eczema, prevent splitting of finger nails, good for rheumatic conditions , reduce high blood pressure & etc

1 packet of mayonnaise and bonito flakes

* Bonito flakes or known as katsuo-bushi are thin shaving of dried tuna. It is usually use to make dashi soup or toppings in various dishes. Unlike fresh tuna, bonito flakes contain minuscule amount of protein, sodium and cholesterol

Put the mayonnaise into the bowl of cut greens and mix it well. Garnish with bonito flakes

HEALTHY SALAD - JAPANESE WAY

I came across this bottle of Japanese salad dressings when I was in Daiso, 1Utama which sells all Japanese items at RM5 each.
fragrant and flavourful infused by the combination of sweet and sour taste .

pour this delightful sauce into a bowl of cut lettuces and baby carrots (or your choice of greens) and toss it well

* lettuce have high water content and is an excellent source of vitamins A, B1, B2, and C, folic acid,manganese and chromium. Helps to cut the risk for constipation and promotes urination
*carrots are full with Vit A and fiber. Good for healthy skin, hair, bones and eye sight

add slices of cut boiled egg
(or your choice of topping i.e chicken ham, cheese & etc)
