RESTAURANT FUL LAI

It had been quite long time, I did not eat dim sum. The other day after our morning walk in FRIM, Kepong, my friends asked me to introduce good breakfast nearby and my mind immediately thought of Restoran Ful Lai in Bandar Manjarala which I have passed by few times but never ever have dim sum there.

We arrived there at 1030 am and it was fully packed with no table left. Just like other people, we have to 'secure' our table by  standing and looking at diners to finish their brekkie and leave their table . We got ourselves a table within 20 minutes.

After seated, a foreign worker came to our table and placed an order sheet. We order a pot of hot Pu Er Tea to cleanse all the cholesterol. Within few seconds, another worker arrived  with a tray of assorted dim sum.
Lo Mai Fun

Steam Dim Sum

Rolled ham  , Ear wood mushroom + pork dumplings and Prawn chee cheong fun (each pieces was tucked with fresh prawns on a sea of soya sauce with a dollop of  yummy fried chilies consists of dried shrimp)

WINE LOR MEE

After an hour of hiking, we started to feel hungry. A friend of ours who is staying in Bandar Menjalara, Kepong suggested we should try the infamous Wine Lor Mee.

We left FRIM Kepong and reached Restoran Wei Sun in less than 30 minutes for lunch.

Wine Lor Mee (RM35 per bowl)

This big bowl of noodles is sufficient for 10 pax. When I first sip the soup, it tasted like shark's fin soup. The thick yellow noodles was springy coupled with fresh succulent prawns + slices of abalone and strips of ham.

Fried Vermicelli with Lala (RM15)
fresh lala meat blended well with fried bee hoon full of flavor

Combination of Fried Mantis Prawns and Calamari (RM25)

delicious fried salted egg calamari (t)

Fried Rice Cake - Hokkien style (RM15)
very flat taste and oily .... too much of pork lard.
