**St Presgrave Ghaut - Penang Hokkien Mee & Lor Mee**
When we reached the coffee shop at almost 630am, there were already few tables filled up with people busy satiating their appetite with this infamous noodles. Couldn't believe it, right?
This stall operates from 5am till 1140am. Our order was 1 bowl of normal Hokkien Mee (RM2.80), 1 bowl of Lor Mee (RM2.80) and 1 bowl of Hokkien Mee with toppings of lor bak, fish balls, fried wantan and chicken leg (RM3.80)
My fave was the Lor Mee. The soup texture was ticked enough and tasty. I added chopped vinegared garlic and fried onion which absolutely gives more ummph to this simple bowl of noodles.
The Hokkien Mee soup made from the prawns shells was aromatic and spicy. However, we were quite disappointed with the added toppings as it cover up the original soup base.
