IT'S A MEAT, MEAT WORLD!

I was brought for a dinner in Blue Cow Cafe, hidden inside Plaza Damas at Sri Hartamas Shopping mall. My dining companion claimed that this eatery cum butchery shop serves wide variety of meat and best thing is you can request the chef to cook your selection of meat according to your tastebuds.  

When I set my foot into this eatery, I was full of awe and amazed with eye catching selection of fresh red meat neatly placed in the transparent chilled fridge. At first, I couldn't make up my mind whether to order beef, lamb, pork, hamburger or kebab. Upon recommendation by the serving staff, I chose Grilled Lamb Cutlets and Lamb Kebab while my companion opted for Grilled Rib Eye Steak. For every main meal, customer are given two side dishes i.e. mashed potatoes, wedges, coleslaw or boiled vegetables.

We started the evening with a glass of
RED WINE (RM25) & BEER (RM15)




FRESH MUSHROOM SOUP SERVED WITH 2 GARLIC  BREAD (RM8)
This bowl of concoction was too watery but  I could taste bits of shitake mushroom as I slurp the soup



GRILLED RIB EYE STEAK SERVED WITH BOILED GREENS AND COLESLAW (RM60)
Cooked to medium rare and in right temperature, meat was incredibly tender, juicy and melts in the mouth



GRILLED LAMB CUTLETS SERVED WITH BOILED VEGES & MASHED POTATOES (RM60)
No residual taste at all. Hints of rosemary and thyme perfected the overall soft and tender grilled cutlets. I asked for  black pepper sauce to accompany this main meal but it didn't get along well as the sauce was too diluted without any peppery smell. 



LAMB KEBAB (RM12)
On the skewer, you'll find pieces of marinated chunky lamb meat + capsicum+onions. Meat was tough and rather tasteless.



APPLE CRUMBLE PIE (RM9)
This healthy and hearty fruit bakes definitely won my heart. Soft + crusty pastry with the right amount of sugar in the apple cinnamon spiced filling make a good combination.
