NUFFNANG - MY FIRST PAYMENT


I have been blogging for more than 3 years now...wow times really flies. This journey started immediately after a day food trail with a group of bloggers who encouraged me to open a blog and also tips and advices from this kind gentleman.

Blog is a diary where I pen down my food and travel journey and share it with people outside there. I may not be good in expressing words but pictures do tells a thousand words. 

I don't blog for money but as a passion which keep me occupied during my free time. But I am glad that readers and blog hoppers who came to my blog helps me 'generate' little income by clicking on the advertisement. Remember,  I won't be getting RM53.37 without your support.

Now, I am taking this opportunity to thank all of you (you know who you are) and do come to this little nest of mine from time to time. Even though there maybe no new write ups by me at certain time but new advertisement will appear here now and then.

BLOGGERS GATHRERING ....awesome desserts

As a foodie/blogger,  our camera usually 'eat first' before us! Actually this happens before our dinner...

... i failed many times in making this and it was a consolation for me to taste this special dessert from a famous baker whom I adore!

 was happy given an opportunity to indulge this precious cake

BLOGGERS' GATHERING @ AH LYE CURRY FISH HEAD

This is the venue where all of us gathered for a dinner with the Sibu famous blogger i.e Suituapui (STP) aka Sir Arthur Wee.  Really appreciate the effort put by famous baker/cook i.e Quay Po Cooks  or Veronica who did all the necessary arrangement from headcount to booking of restaurant just by chatting in the Facebook.  Personally, I did not know these two icon blogger and other bloggers too but I am a regular reader  who at times leave my comment in their blog or a silent reader. And it was STP who invited me to join this event.

Apart from the sumptuous food (this is the main reason foodie get-together), I also have the opportunity to taste awesome desserts prepared by the expert bakers (in my next post).

I did not drive to this restaurant cos' I am always blur and confuse with the roads outside  the Klang Valley (unless I have a good navigator with me).  Luckily, Abby, a new blogger (we got to know each other fm FB) volunteered to pick me up at a meeting point in KL. With her hubby driving the car and using GPS, after several wrong turns, we finally reached the destination. Quite deep inside Subang Jaya residential area.

Our dinner kicked off with dishes pre booked by QPC. 

Bountiful food!
Fried Tumeric Squid
 fresh squid rings cooked with fragrant tumeric & curry leaves
Tamarind Prawns
big in size, succulent & juicy..but the soya tamarind sauce tad too sweet & diluted
Curry Fish Head
came in a big piping hot claypot, the aromatic curry smell filled the air. Thick gravy with loads of cut fish head, ladies finger & etc.
Salted Chicken
at first it doesn't look tantalizing..but it certainly was after a bite! infused with chinese herbs i.e Tong Kwai (my fave), each pieces of the chicken meat absorbed the herbal concoction! 
Egg Foo Yong
simple dish fried with fresh prawns and onion rings...yummy
Mini Lor Bak
a popular dish in Penang ... minced pork marinated with 5 spice powder & etc rolled with beancurd skin!
Stir Fried Belacan Kangkung
crunchy greens..flavorful and full of wok hei

SHABU-SHABU BUFFET STYLE


It was nice having lunch and catched up with Gill & Jason during my trip back to Penang last year. This friendly hubby & wife team strongly recommended Tsurukame located at 3rd Floor, Queesbay Mall, Penang. I do admit this restaurant served lots of high quality food which is value for money compared with my 'worst' dining experience in Rest Tao @ E-Gate, Penang.

We were spoilt with the variety selection of sushi, kim-chi, fried stuffs, salad, fruits, dessert and most importantly good soup to complement with quality ingredients for shabu-shabu .

I love the ambiance and restaurant setting where you can opt to sit and eat facing the mall or the sea.

We kicked start the afternoon by partaking on the buffet spread before satisfying our tummies with the DIY Japanese steam boat and two type of soups i.e plain and kiam chye (salted vegetables).
