One birthday boy + 10 guests = seafood steamboat dinner in Pulau Ketam Seafood Steamboat restaurant in Taman Sri Bahtera, Kuala Lumpur.
We arrived there closed to 6.30pm with lots of empty table. But as the sky grew darker, the whole restaurant was filled up, sign of good business. This is my first time stepping into this eatery although I heard it many times from friend who compliments about cheap and delicious steamboat here.
our order came in 2 sets of fresh seafood, assorted fishballs, fu chuk & greens
and complete with 1 plates of rolls dried yee mee, vermicelli and 10 eggs
fried onion oil and pounded red chilies
fried onion oil and pounded red chilies
1 piping hot pot in tom yam soup
another piping hot pot in clear soup
after walloped all the main ingredients, we put in rolls of dried yee mee and vermicilies
My verdict.....homecooked seafood steamboat still the best!
another piping hot pot in clear soup
after walloped all the main ingredients, we put in rolls of dried yee mee and vermicilies
and also finished all the 10 eggs
toast to the b'day boy
Total bill
Overall, I love the tasty and flavorful tom yam soup. If there is fried garlic oil, I definetely would have 3 bowls of the clear soup cos' the fried onion oil can't give the aromatic smell. But the pounded red chilies was a superb dipping sauce.
