Hello everyone, I'm back but in case if I'm MIA (missing in action) again, you can still locate me in Facebook...!
In the past few months, I was very tied up assisting my boss preparing for his personal private function. It was a grand party held in a 5 star International hotel with over 400 guests attending and comprises of VVIPs eg YAB Tan Sri, YAA Tun Dato, Datuk Sri, Tengku & etc. Overall, the party went smoothly without any hiccups.
Few days before the event, we met up with the hotel Banquet Sales Manager to discuss and finalize on the preparation. After hours of discussion, we felt exhausted and hungry but didn't realised it was already 1pm till she told us' hey, let's go for lunch in Chynna'. Without hesitation, we nodded and proceeded to the restaurant.
Chynna in Hilton Kuala Lumpur serves authentic Cantonese delicacies with a touch of Shanghai theatrics. We ordered a lot of food including dim sum & appetizer but managed to captured few food photos only and it disappeared within seconds as soon as the food arrive our table....now you know how hungry all of us were during that moment^_^
'CHYNna'....red & white signage
Long spout tea kettle...to refill tea at every table
table setting.....love the plate in chinese painting
Monk Jump Over the Wall (RM268).
ticked and fragrant soup filled with lots of scallops, fish maws & sea cucumber
Braised Whole Superior Shark's Fin Soup accompanied with bean sprouts (RM168)
abundance of shark's fin but soup was quite diluted
Steamed Coral Trout with Fine Soya Sauce (RM68)
tender yet juicy meat and blend well with the fragrant soya sauce
Braised Sea Cucumber with Broccoli in Brown Sauce (RM68)
sea cucumber texture was firmed and slippery
Braised Home Made Beancurd with vegetables (RM32)
beancurd was sweet not to my liking
Hong Kong style Fried Egg Noodles with assorted seafood & vegetables (RM38)
noodles was chewy and tasty absorbing the flavour from the seafood
(prawns, squids & scallop)
Cold Hashima with Sago & Honey Dew in Milk
cold and refreshing!
Other dishes we wanted to try was Sashimi Australian lobster - not available and Braised Bird's Nest Soup - sold out.
Overall, I love the restaurant ambience and attentive serving staff. But we waited for at least 20 minutes for each dish to arrive our table which is a set back.
We will come back again to try other speciality in this restaurant.
