JOM... BREAK FAST WITH BOOF....delivery by Foodpanda

I was delighted to be invited again by foodpanda to attend to their recent  food review held in BOOF, ideally and strategically located in the Golden Triangle. To be exact, it is just after Pizza Hut  in Jalan Sultan Ismail/Bukit Bintang or opposite LOT 10.

Started in 1995, BOOF is a fast food  restaurant with over 50 branches in Iran and is now spreading its wings to Malaysia and other countries.  During this Ramadhan month, if you are tight with budget,  BOOF is offering you the option of break fast with their special set meal at just RM10 comprises of your choice of mains served with a malt beverage and fries. You just need to make your order by login into http://www.foodpanda.my/ without getting out from your comfort zone.

All of us were given a mini tour in the kitchen. The fun started when we got our hands 'dirty' (we wore gloves)  by making our own pizza and chicken burger after a demostration by Boof's outlet supervisor.

After having fun in the kitchen, it was time to break fast and enjoy our own hand made pizzas and burgers together with fried chickens, fries and soft drinks .

My friend and I finds the chicken burger indeed memorable. Unlike other burger chain, the chicken pattie here was juicy, moist yet fresh and complement well with warm + spongy soft bun. I like the mild flavor (less salt) crispy fried chicken and ate two pieces. As for the pizza, it was just ordinary.

BOOF: No. 42-44, Ground & Mezzanine Floor, Jln Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur.

ECO RICE FARM IN KAHANG

Last week, a group of us (together with about 30 other peoples in a bus) joined a 2 day/1 night trip to Kahang Eco Rice Farm in Johor. The bumpy ride took us  almost 5 hours (with a stop for lunch) to reach this farm.   This is my first experience staying in a floating chalet tucked inside a small village facing beautiful scenery. Not only we can relax but for those who can't sit still (like me) can participate in activities such as water rafting, kayaking, night trekking, cycling and etc.

Now, I shall  let the pictures take you to a tour in this place.

LONGAN FARM IN TG SEPAT

We visited the Longan Farm during our day trip in Tg Sepat. Although longans is the main fruit here, but bittergourd, fresh from the tree can also be found here. In fact, this is a small hut where visitors are able to buy other local products such as sweet potatoes, rambutan and etc.

Luck was not with us during our visit. The owner told us to come back next month as the fruit will then be ripe enough for consumption.

Such a big farm with sunny sun!
Told you....fresh bittergourd but not yet ripe

RESTORAN IKAN BAKAR AH PU - TG SEPAT

Many times, I had been to Tanjung Sepat . This trip, I went with a friend who are alike me..loves food. We stopped by at Banting for durian treat, lunch in one of the seafood restaurant facing Lover' Bridge and dinner at this place.

Opens at 6pm and we were their first customers.

hubby and wife business from home

for grilling and cooking veges

Two plates of nasi lemak and a plate of mixed soya sauce boiled egg and taufu
No presence of coconut milk in the rice and sambal was spicy and tasteless...spoilt my mood. I decided to have only half portion of the white rice, so that I can enjoy with other dishes.

I would say soya sauce gravy is just edible. Nothing to fuss about cos' the main attraction here is the grilled fish and seafood.

Stir Fried Three Angles Beans with Sotong and cut Fishballs
really aromatic and tasty... crunchy greens, fresh ring squids, bouncy fish balls (we bought it from a stall near a seafood restaurant)

Grilled Fish Meat
forgotten the name of this fish but it was sweet on its own even without applying a coat of tumeric

Grilled Ikan Cencaru
looks like fried...cos' we have it done well by returning it to the cook  as it was not properly grilled/cooked when served to us

sambal
squeeze half of the lime and mix it with the sambal
for sweet, sour and spicy oomph...save my day!

For RM30 only, the price is reasonable. The stall here also sells Roasted Duck & Innard Rice and Curry Chicken which attract lots of customers who stay nearby this small village.

G7 COFFEE

Reputable and famous in Vietnam, I asked my friend to get me few packets of  the country infamous G7 coffee and rice paper during his working trip.  He came back with what I wanted. Below are my discoveries:-

G7 -2 in 1 Instant Coffee  (RM7.60)
Once I unsealed the packet, I can smell the fragrance of the ground coffee mixed with sugar. When I pour hot water into the mix, it creates a very strong and aromatic sensation.  I took a sip and as soon as it reaches my tongue, I stop cos' I forgotten to add in milk powder which is a must whenever I drink coffee. After adding milk powder, I slowly take a good wiff and sip and it tasted sharp and delicate..suits my tastebuds.

G7 - 3 in 1 instant coffee (RM12.30)
After completing the process of pouring and mixing hot water with a sachet , mild flavor of the coffee touches my nose. When it reaches my tounge, it tasted very light and wild..not 'kau'/thick enough. Huh, I give this a pass..still prefer our Nescafe 3 in 1.

a must when I need to open my eyes BIG

TEA GARDEN - PARADIGM MALL

It was my first virgin visit to Paradigm Mall to attend a food review...Click here to know further. After alighted from Kelana Jaya Lrt station, we took a free shuttle bus to the mall.

While waiting for the food tasting to kick start at 11 am, we went walk around and ended up having a nice breakfast here.

Cozy, clean and well lighted up ambiance. Since it was still early, only few tables was occupied. Upon seated, a foreign waiter gave us a menu which easily made us pick our food fast.

My cup of pure coffee was just tad too plain. I luv my coffee with milk and it came true after the waiter took my cup back to the kitchen and return with Coffee Milk.

Half Boiled Egg Toast
When it was placed in front of me, I felt it was kinda of expensive. You know, 2 pieces of toast bread topped with a normal half boiled egg won't cost rm3.80++, rite?

But... after I poked the egg which oozes out like a lava and took a bite of it with toast bread, it tasted sweet....

so..... I decided to open the bottom layer and saw a piece of cut butter and coconut kaya jam spread .... m happy now cos I like my toast bread with kaya and also half boiled egg!

My friend ordered glutinuous rice which I don't even bother to try cos' it looks just ordinary.
