Many times, I had been to Tanjung Sepat . This trip, I went with a friend who are alike me..loves food. We stopped by at Banting for durian treat, lunch in one of the seafood restaurant facing Lover' Bridge and dinner at this place.
Opens at 6pm and we were their first customers.
hubby and wife business from home
for grilling and cooking veges
Two plates of nasi lemak and a plate of mixed soya sauce boiled egg and taufu
No presence of coconut milk in the rice and sambal was spicy and tasteless...spoilt my mood. I decided to have only half portion of the white rice, so that I can enjoy with other dishes.
I would say soya sauce gravy is just edible. Nothing to fuss about cos' the main attraction here is the grilled fish and seafood.
Stir Fried Three Angles Beans with Sotong and cut Fishballs
really aromatic and tasty... crunchy greens, fresh ring squids, bouncy fish balls (we bought it from a stall near a seafood restaurant)
Grilled Fish Meat
forgotten the name of this fish but it was sweet on its own even without applying a coat of tumeric
Grilled Ikan Cencaru
looks like fried...cos' we have it done well by returning it to the cook as it was not properly grilled/cooked when served to us
sambal
squeeze half of the lime and mix it with the sambal
for sweet, sour and spicy oomph...save my day!
For RM30 only, the price is reasonable. The stall here also sells Roasted Duck & Innard Rice and Curry Chicken which attract lots of customers who stay nearby this small village.
Oh I miss eating grilled food... Now looking at your post making me crave...
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and Im looking forward in hearing from you again :)

I love ikan bakar... Must eat it when I go Penang - not cheap but sooooo nice! Our own here, not nice. The ikan parek stinks of urine...
ReplyDeleteHi Genskie,
ReplyDeleteDo come back for more drooling food post!
Btw, like reading your blog always filled with love(s).

Arthur,
ReplyDeleteIkan pari smells of urine...not properly cleaned.
