POON KEE DESSERT


After a simple lunch in a coffee shop, my dining companion and I walked around looking for dessert and Poon Kee caught our attention.  I didn't know that restaurant has been operating for the past 50 years..only after I googled for more information. 

Inside the air conditioned restaurant, 1 table taken up by a couple. A foreign waiter gave us an eye catching & colorful menu and it was easy preasy to choose what suit our tastebuds. 


2 sweet soup & 1 savoury snack
A combo of soft soya beancurd, peanut paste soup and black sesame paste soup ...
both peanut & black sesame texture thick & aromatic


Pumpkin soup & a dollop of vanilla ice cream
 smooth with a balance of sweetness including the ice cream
Fried Spring Roll
turnips filling tad too dry and oily popiah skin
