The newly opened Isetan in Bandar Utama made us drove there during the weekend to check out what's inside the shopping centre. It was lunch hour and we spotted Hokkaido Gantetsu Ramen which is located inside Eat Paradise and nearby two other ramen restaurants.
Quite a small place with simple settings. Business was brisk and difficult to find a table. While waiting for our table, we took a look at their menu outside and a waitress approached us and told us to try their best seller ramen which is prepared by their Japanese chef.
Fascinated by the set lunch which consists of a bowl of ramen, a cup of ocha and 3 pieces of meat gyoza @ RM35++, we made a quick order which arrived in less than 20 minutes.
Hot and cold ocha/green tea |
Tonkotsu miso ramen with king cha-shu Broth smells very 'porky and milky' and cha shu rough in texture. These two main ingredients instantly killed my appetite. I still prefer ramen in Santouka, Pavilion |
Pork Gyoza
pastry skin was hard with normal meat filling
We paid RM42 (including RM1.90 for ice green tea) which totally
disappointed us for our first meal in the day.
