It was Ramadan month and the ambiance inside the Penang Village Restaurant, Berjaya Times Squre was quiet and empty when we arrived. The buffet spread (RM28++) lined up on the table was ready for muslim customers to buka puasa but I was not entice at all.
Not knowing what is the best seller in this outlet , the waiter recommended us to try their famous Penang Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang, Village Special Fried Rice and Durian Cendol. For drinks, it was Jasmine Hot Tea and Ice Lemon Tea.
VILLAGE SPECIAL FRIED RICE (RM13.90++)
accompanied with 1 fried prawn, 2 pieces of fried chicken meat, 1 fried egg, sambal prawns and a small bowl of acar
Presentation was good. Fried rice was flavorful and best eaten with sambal prawns. However, the fried chicken meat was quite hard.
PENANG NASI LEMAK WITH BEEF RENDANG (RM13.90++)
The rice was aromatic with the fragrant from the coconut milk. I like the curry gravy which was tasty and tender meat. The tamarind prawns was pretty hard and cool but edible.
ICE LEMON TEA (RM4.50++) & HOT JASMINE TEA (RM2.50++)
The chendol looks solid and nice
ReplyDeleteYes but Penang Cendol still the best (~.~)
