We did not purposely come here...but we made a quick stop while driving back from Mentakab-Temerloh to KL. Since it was the last day of long holidays, not many packed this place except a handful of foreign tourists and also locals.
Before you get to enter into the garden to see or touch or ride or feed or bath with the giant elephant, all visitor MUST register themselves at the office. Once registered, you will be given a pass and it must be stick/paste on your handbag/t-shirt or other visible area for security inspection at the entrance.
GALLERY cum EDUCATIONAL CENTRE
After registered ourselves, we got our passes
entrance to the sanctuary..... |
let's begin the journey.... |
elephants are being sent back to their 'rest & relax' nest before they start entertaining tourist again |
this is their 'r & r' area.... replenishing energy with banana, banana leaf and other food given by tourist |
with the given passes, we were not entitled for free ride. so I guess, one need to pay in order to ride the elephant and you can see most people don't mind...long queue indeed |
with an experienced guide, your ride is certainly safe.... in a short circle
