Sriracha Zoo - CROCODILE SHOW & SATAY

During my recent vacation in Bangkok, one of the itinerary included a trip to Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Pattaya. This animal 'kingdom' houses large collection of tigers, crocodiles, pigs, and all sorts of other animals in a lush tropical garden .

One of the must to watch performance is the crocodile show. It was amazing and fascinating looking at the boy and girl handling those live alligators.
real and live crocodiles....
wow...a brave act...putting his head inside this reptile jaws
getting up close and personal with the crocodiles

Before the show, we bought 5 sticks  of crocodile satay @ THB100  from a stall located just nearby the entrance.
sticks of marinated crocodile meat
deep fried in a hot wok of oil
end result....sprinkled with chilies flakes & sesame seed

A friend who had tasted this reptile meat told me it's like eating chicken meat. After a bite, I could not even finish one whole stick of satay. The smells, toughness and bland taste of the meat immediately kill my tastebud. But my travel buddy seems to enjoy it after series of chewing battle.

up next....elephant show

  1. Saw the show...either in Bangkok or Pattaya. The Ah Qua show more entertaining...and eyewwww....crocodile meat! No, thank you. They served us snake blood - I didn't touch. Just saw, already wanted to vomit.

  2. Hahaha! Wanted to go for both the Ah Qua and Tiger show but somehow spent it on the exquisite supper...shark's fin soup and bird nest!
