SAKAE SUSHI

My friend and I had a lunch in Sakae Sushi, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant was half full but our order took almost 35 minutes to arrive and we need to constantly check with the waitress. phew @_@

green tea/ocha

wasabi, pickled ginger and soya sauce

Unagi & Tempura Bento (river eel & assorted tempura i.e prawn, eggplant, carrot and green pepper, chawanmushi, miso soup + a bowl of rice) RM24.90 ++The eel was fresh but too sweet for my liking due to too much of sweet soya sauce being used to prepare the fish. As for the tempura, the batter was not crispy but the prawns and vegetables remain moisted even after deep frying. However, the cup of Chawanmushi was irresistable and packed with lots of chicken meat, crab roe, slices of mushroom, fish cakes and shark's fins.

My friend ordered
Beef Shiogayaki & Agedashi Tofu (sliced beef sauted with ginger sauce, & fried beancurd with agedashi sauce, chawanmushi, miso soup and bowl of rice) RM19.90++
I tried the beef slices and it was tender and tasty.

Come back again.....hmmmm....NOPE!
