LOR MEE & ETC IN ULU YAM

Restoran Aik Khoon is one of the few coffee shop you will bump into if you happen to be in Ulu Yam hunting for the famous Lor Mee. There is only a handful of eateries in this small village and you can easily locate this shop.

What draw our attention to eat here was this entire shop packed with diners and believe me or not, it was near to 6pm only. Service was prompt and our food arrives within 10 minutes for each dish.

Fresh Young Coconut (RM3)
refreshing juice with transparent texture coconut meat
Lor Mee (RM5)
springy noodles in a pool of flavorful soup with a hint of black vinegar
we had it without any pork meat & lard.....healthy way of eating!
Cantonese Fried Koay Teow (RM5)
noodles filled with 'wok hei' in a not so starchy gravy
our order with greens only....super healthy!
Fried Sai Toh Fish Pancake (RM7)
Bouncy and light
Guinness Stout Fried Chicken Wing (RM12 - 4 pairs)
my first time eating this and it was so yummy! fragrant and sweet
infused by the beer
RM32.30 (including a glass of ice chinese tea) ....cheap and delicious.

  1. Oooo....food looks good. They use Hokkien mee, big ones for the lor mee? The Cantonese fried looks darker than usual? The ones I used to see very pale. Hmmm...would love to try the Guiness chicken. Drool!
